The fourth step in the homebuying process is…
Submitting an offer.
Once you find a home that you love, it’s time to take action and submit an offer! Your realtor will negotiate on your behalf to get your offer accepted. When reviewing your offer, make sure you understand the time periods. You may have a Loan Contingency, Appraisal Contingency, Inspection Contingency. If so, there will be specific timeframes that are listed on the offer. Your realtor will strategize with you on what timeframes work best for your situation. Your lender will work on getting your loan approved BEFORE you’re ready to submit your offer, while your realtor takes care of the rest. This part of the process can seem stressful and nerve-racking. The biggest piece of advice to note about making offers is that more than likely, your first offer will not be your last. Remember to remain patient and trust the process!
